Product description

Discover the Roar of the Tiger: Authentic Huxiaoyan Rougui Step into the world of premium Chinese Oolong with our Huxiaoyan Rougui, a top-tier Wuyi Rock Tea (Yancha). Sourced directly from Huxiaoyan (Roaring Tiger Rock)—one of the most revered and pristine core production areas (Zhengyan) within the Wuyi Mountains—this tea delivers the authentic Yan Yun (Rock Rhyme) that true tea connoisseurs seek.

The Leaves & The Liquor Every step of the crafting process honors traditional Wuyi roasting techniques, ensuring a masterful balance of flavor and aroma.

  • The Dry Leaves: The dry leaves are robust, dark, and tightly twisted. They carry a deep, inviting charcoal-roasted aroma with hints of dried fruit and warm spice.

  • The Tea Liquor: When steeped, the tea transforms into a brilliant, golden-amber liquor. The infusion is crystal clear, vibrant, and incredibly smooth on the palate.

Tasting Notes Rougui translates to "Cinnamon," and this tea lives up to its name with a bold, assertive character.

  • Aroma: A striking, sharp floral aroma interwoven with warming cinnamon and subtle woody undertones.

  • Palate: Rich, thick, and deeply mineral. The initial roasted warmth gives way to a complex, spicy sweetness.

  • Finish: A long-lasting, resonant aftertaste (Hui Gan) that coats the throat and lingers long after your final sip.

Premium Presentation Whether you are elevating your own daily tea ritual or searching for the perfect gift, presentation matters. This tea is carefully portioned into elegant, copper-toned individual boxes. The sophisticated packaging proudly displays traditional calligraphy marking its origin from the Wuyi core production area, ensuring the leaves remain protected, fresh, and ready to brew.

Brewing Guide (Gongfu Style Recommended) To fully experience the dynamic layers of this rock tea, we highly recommend traditional Gongfu brewing using a Zisha (purple clay) teapot or a porcelain Gaiwan.

  • Water Temperature: 100°C (Boiling water is essential to fully extract the rich aromatics).

  • Tea to Water Ratio: 1 single-serving box (approx. 8g) per 110ml–120ml of water.

  • Steeping Time: Flash steep the first 3 infusions (approx. 5–8 seconds). Gradually add 5–10 seconds for each subsequent brew. This high-quality Rougui can easily yield 7 to 9 flavorful infusions.
