Product description

The Whisper of Spring: Authentic Dongting Biluochun Welcome the vibrant energy of early spring with our premium Biluochun (Green Snail Spring). Sourced exclusively from the highly coveted core production area of Dongting Xishan (West Mountain) in Jiangsu, this legendary green tea is a true showcase of handcrafted scarcity. Plucked only during a fleeting window in early spring, it requires tens of thousands of delicate, tender buds to create just a single pound of this cultural treasure.

The Leaves & The Liquor The immense "time value" and dedication of our artisan tea masters are immediately evident in the visual perfection of every hand-rolled leaf.

  • The Dry Leaves: True to its name, the tender green leaves are expertly rolled into tiny, tight, snail-like spirals. They are heavily coated in a pristine, snowy-white down (pekoe), emitting a beautifully fresh, fruity aroma right out of the box.

  • The Tea Liquor: As the leaves steep, they gracefully unfurl and sink, yielding a brilliant, crystal-clear jade-green liquor that is as visually stunning as it is delicious.

Tasting Notes Because the tea bushes in Dongting Xishan are traditionally interplanted with fruit trees (such as peach, plum, and loquat), authentic Biluochun naturally absorbs a highly distinctive, fruity essence that cannot be replicated elsewhere.

  • Aroma: A captivating, delicate fragrance blending fresh spring meadows with subtle, blooming orchard blossoms.

  • Palate: Exceptionally soft, smooth, and completely devoid of bitterness. The flavor offers a harmonious balance of fresh, tender vegetal notes intertwined with a remarkably sweet, fruity undertone.

  • Finish: A brisk, clean, and refreshing natural sweetness (Hui Gan) that lingers softly on the breath.

Premium Presentation A tea of this delicacy demands an equally refined presentation. Carefully portioned to preserve its highly volatile spring aromatics, this tea is encased in sophisticated, deep emerald-green individual boxes. Finished with a classic red artisan seal and elegant calligraphy denoting its Dongting Xishan core terroir origins, this minimalist packaging is designed to elevate the aesthetic of your tea collection or serve as a luxurious gift.

Recommended Brewing Guide (The Top-Drop Method) To fully appreciate the visual "tea ritual" of Biluochun, we highly recommend brewing in a clear glass teapot or a simple glass cup so you can watch the downy leaves dance and unfurl.

  • Water Temperature: 80°C – 85°C (Never use boiling water, as it will scald the delicate early-spring buds and turn them bitter).

  • The Top-Drop Technique: Unlike most teas, pour your warm water into the glass first. Then, gently sprinkle 1 single-serving box (approx. 3g to 5g) of leaves onto the surface of the water.

  • Steeping Time: Watch as the "snails" slowly absorb the water, unfurl, and sink to the bottom like falling snow. The first infusion will be ready in about 1 to 2 minutes. This premium green tea can be steeped beautifully for 3 to 4 infusions.
