A Journey to the Heart of Wuyi

Experience the pinnacle of Chinese Oolong with our authentic Zheng Yan Da Hong Pao (Big Red Robe). Sourced exclusively from the heavily protected inner gorges of the Wuyi Mountains—the true "Zheng Yan" core area—this tea represents a rare intersection of natural scarcity and artisanal mastery.

The True "Rock Rhyme" (Yan Yun)

True Zheng Yan tea is born from the mineral-rich, volcanic rock soils of Wuyi's inner sanctum. This unique terroir imparts a profound, inimitable signature known to connoisseurs as "Yan Yun" (Rock Rhyme)—a flawless harmony of deep mineral structure and soaring floral aromatics. Encased in an elegant crimson presentation box, the seal of the Core Terroir guarantees its authentic origin and uncompromising quality.

Handcrafted Scarcity & Time Value

Each leaf is carefully hand-harvested and refined through centuries-old, traditional charcoal roasting techniques by master artisans. As seen in the dark, tightly twisted dry leaves, this meticulous process requires immense patience, skill, and an understanding of the tea's intrinsic time value. The result is a cultural treasure that not only captivates the senses today but possesses remarkable potential for aging.

Liquid Amber, Enduring Finish

Upon brewing, the tea awakens, yielding a brilliantly clear, luminous amber liquor. The aroma opens with an elegant orchid fragrance, evolving into deep, complex notes of roasted caramel and subtle woods. On the palate, it is rich, smooth, and layered with that distinctive mineral texture. The finish is exceptionally enduring, offering a sweet, cooling resonance (Hui Gan) that lingers long after the final sip.

The Brewing Ritual

To fully appreciate the depth of this tea, we recommend a mindful brewing process:

  • Vessel: A porcelain Gaiwan or a handcrafted Yixing Zisha teapot is highly recommended to capture and elevate its aromatic profile.

  • Water Temperature: 100°C (212°F) boiling water is essential to extract the robust rock rhyme.

  • Measurements: Approximately 8g of tea per 110ml–120ml of water.

  • Steeping: Flash brew for the first few infusions (approx. 3-5 seconds). Gradually increase the steeping time with each subsequent brew. This exceptional reserve is highly enduring and will easily yield over ten complex, evolving infusions.
